Viterbi Venture Fund

The Viterbi Venture Fund (VVF) is a donor-funded investment account benefiting the Viterbi School of Engineering. The Fund typically invests $50,000 to $100,000 in Southern California-based startups with a USC affiliation (faculty, staff or alumni) at the founder, senior management or lead investor level seeking pre-seed or seed level funding. VVF is a passive investor taking no director or observer rights on a company's board of directors, and does not negotiate term sheets or documentation. VVF invests as a syndicate member in financing rounds led and negotiated by institutional investors. In addition to capital, VVF can provide portfolio companies with access to the Viterbi and broader USC science, technology and entrepreneurship communities, as well as the Viterbi Startup Garage and the NSF's Innovation Node-Los Angeles I-Corps program.

If you are a founder, senior manager, or lead investor in a startup meeting the above criteria and are interested in VVF participation in your round, contact David Eastman at
